Our Shared History
Aquatrol Ltd was founded in 2005 by Director Bob Judd, building on his extensive experience within the international swimming pool industry. Fifteen years earlier, Bob had been Managing Director of Stranco Europe, the European division of the US-based company that played a significant role in the development of the global pool industry during the 1980s.
In 2005, BECS approached Bob to become its European distributor, recognising his knowledge, experience and reputation within the pool industry. The partnership between Bob’s expertise and BECS’s innovative, high-quality products has continued to grow, establishing Aquatrol as a respected name in the UK pool industry, with a particular focus on chemical dosing and water treatment.
Since 2015, Aquatrol has also been the designated BECS distributor for the Middle East, extending our specialist expertise and support across an increasingly international market.
Today, Aquatrol continues to build on its experience, developing new opportunities while providing trusted technical expertise and solutions to the pool and water treatment industry.
BECS Technology
BECS has been designing and manufacturing the industry’s
most reliable and innovative water chemistry controllers for
more than 25 years.
Since 1991, BECS has designed and manufactured thousands of aquatic controllers, including the manufacture of System3, System4, System5, System5F, System6, and System7 controllers, marketed by Stranco, Inc. under the Strantrol® name.
In 2005, BECS introduced the BECSysTM line of water chemistry controllers, which includes the BECSys2, BECSys3, BECSys5, and BECSys7. While continuing the history of reliability within the industry, these new products offer a comprehensive set of features that redefine the standard for water chemistry controllers.

Introducing the newly enhanced BECSys3. While maintaining its easy-to-use and reliable legacy, the BECSys3 has been upgraded with a new look and new features. A big bright easy-to-read 2-line display assures current status can be easily monitored. The BECSys3 can accept a
direct free chlorine reading, so sanitiser control can be based upon a true PPM
value instead of ORP.

has a comprehensive range of features
based upon a proven design, with years of reliable field performance. While configurable for the most demanding applications, it is still simple to operate, with detailed on-screen manuals and help information. BECSys for Windows software
is included, providing operational data logs, graphs and event calendars

The BECSys7 sets a new standard for complete mechanical plant room control. All of the water chemistry features of
the BECSys5 are included, along with
the addition of a fully configurable automatic filter backwash control.
The BECSys7 can directly control up to
5 filters standard, which is expandable
up to 16. With BECS’s commitment to ongoing development, the BECSys7 is
the most advanced control system available in the aquatics market today.
